Working Title: 'What's Your Vector, Victor?"
“This working title came about as I was writing parts of this song while watching the movie ‘Airplane!’ in the background. I love the whole cockpit scene (copied below), and as I had no vocals at this point this working title stuck. When we were finalising the vocals Al (guitar) suggested instead of singing “intertwined with your invective” twice I should sing “intertwined and fused in vectors” the second time as a nod to the working title.

“We decided on the title ‘Interlocator’ as this song is about discovering things about yourself by being challenged in new ways, by being really forced into dealing with something and surprising yourself by how you reacted. This song is essentially about arguments, disputes or disagreements with those that we care for, and this is reflected with the heavy mid section “Well I hurt, like everybody else hurts”. This is followed by the mellower, calming outro, where all the anger and hurt melts away, and this is the most important part of the song for me.
